Powers: There is more to a warrior than sheer brute force and blinding speed---which Valista exhibits in her own unique way-

The Seeking Eye: Upon activation, the Seeking Eye allows Valista to pin-point areas of weakness in her opponent's body. It only lasts about thirty seconds, but can be used on multiple targets(three)--so long as they are grouped together.

Weapon:

-Mist form: A pair of brass-studded leather bracelets. She's never without them; which is handy, since they fit her particular aesthetic rather well.

-Non-Mist form: An identical set of katar; the handles bound in fine, golden filament--blood-funnel running through their heart. Though dangerous weapons they may be, they're more often used as tools. The golden thread attached to either is often wound around her wrist in combat, so that they cannot be launched out of her reach.

Personality:

Valista is fearless-- bounding into the worst of situations without a moment of pause, or hesitance. A fast-talking, sharp-tongued thing, the girl is always open and seeking a challenge: due to her small size and general lack of physical power, she compensates with a prickly attitude and an innate desire to conquer every battle. Her victories are accomplished with cunning and trickery, more than sheer strength alone.
Her fierce competitiveness, however, has made for a decided lack of emotional and social ability. Valista has problems connecting with the people around her in any way that isn't physical-- and when cornered in a situation that she isn't familiar/uncomfortable with, tends to either lash out.. or completely shut herself down.

Deadly Flaw: Valista is a creature full of insecurities--and she masks them all with an unfathomable, endless amount of rage. Her anger is her best friend, and she wraps that fury around herself like a warm blanket. It keeps everyone at bay, and takes away all of her doubts. With that wash of red in her vision-- she doesn't see any consequences, and no risk is too great.


Background:

Born into a wealthy family, the girl was a result of one-night-stand during her parents brief separation. Her adoptive father refuses to acknowledge her as anything but his own-- blind to any of his wife's indiscretions. How would any mortal man be able to compare to a night with a god?
Valista's closest and most trusted companion has always been her elder half-brother, Dominic. Dom' was killed, ultimately, in a traffic accident. Upon her brother's death, the girl had a meltdown, and closed herself off from her parents-- and spent her pre-teens in and out of Juvenile Lockdowns. Her parents, unable to cope with the wild-child that she was, told Valista of her true parentage just before shipping her off to Camp Half-blood, hoping the experience would help the girl cope, and tame her growing delinquency.
